About the Role
National Food Group is seeking a detail-oriented Bid Coordinator to join our Purchasing team. In this role, you will serve as a liaison between Purchasing, Sales, and vendor partners to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant bid submissions. You will play a key role in managing government and large contract bids, coordinating information across departments, and supporting the company’s success in competitive bid opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage the full bid process, from receiving bid requests to final submission.
- Serve as a liaison between Purchasing, Sales bid coordinators, and vendors to ensure all pricing, product, and compliance information is accurate and complete.
- Gather vendor quotes, product specifications, and other required documentation to support bid submissions.
- Review bid documents and requirements for accuracy, compliance, and completeness.
- Maintain organized records of bid activity, timelines, and submission requirements.
- Proactively communicate deadlines and deliverables to internal stakeholders.
- Prepare and submit formal bid responses, ensuring compliance with all specifications and regulations.
- Assist Purchasing and Sales teams with product recommendations based on bid requirements.
- Conduct research on vendors, pricing, and market conditions to support bid strategies.
- A genuine enthusiasm for AI and emerging technology, with a willingness to apply modern tools to support completion of daily tasks.
Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PDF tools).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong math and analytical skills.
- Collaborative team player with the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Self-motivated with a sense of urgency and accountability.
- Adaptable and able to manage shifting priorities under pressure.
