Overview
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional service to our customers while assisting them with their shopping needs. Your ability to communicate effectively and create a welcoming environment will contribute to a positive shopping experience.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store.
- Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Process sales transactions efficiently using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Engage in upselling techniques to enhance customer purchases and increase sales.
- Maintain knowledge of current promotions, products, and services to provide informed recommendations to customers.
- Ensure the sales floor is clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals and maintain a high standard of customer service.
Skills
- Strong cash handling skills with experience operating a cash register or POS system.
- Proven ability in retail sales with a focus on upselling and meeting sales targets.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Previous experience in a retail setting is preferred but not required.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn are essential for success in this role.
- Able to climb a ladder to reach stock.
- Prior experience in footwear sales a plus.
