Duties
- Provide attentive personal care assistance, including help with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to ensure comfort and dignity.
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as eating, toileting, and transferring using proper patient transfer methods and manual handling techniques.
- Monitor residents’ health by checking vital signs, observing for changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper documentation and safety protocols are followed.
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks aligned with dietary plans, while maintaining cleanliness in kitchen and dining areas.
- Facilitate engaging activities that promote mental stimulation and social interaction, including memory care and dementia support strategies.
- Assist with transportation to appointments or community outings using personal transportation assistance or appropriate resident transfer equipment like Hoyer lifts.
Skills
- Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or in senior care environments such as assisted living or nursing homes.
- Strong patient observation skills to detect changes in condition or behavior promptly.
- Knowledge of care plans, medication administration, patient monitoring, and vital signs measurement.
- Familiarity with specialized care such as Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, hospice care, and memory support techniques.
- Ability to perform light cleaning duties to maintain a safe and hygienic environment for residents.
- Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is highly valued.
- Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration while ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards.

Pay: $11.00 - $14.00 per hour
