Overview
We are seeking a dedicated person to join our culinary team. This role involves preparing meals in a fast-paced environment, ensuring food safety standards are met, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation, culinary techniques, and excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and menu plans
- Operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Follow food safety protocols and maintain hygiene standards throughout food handling and preparation
- Assist with menu planning and portion control to ensure consistency and quality
- Slice, chop, and prepare ingredients using proper knife skills and slicing techniques
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with safety standards in production
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment before, during, and after shifts
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and service
- Assist with catering events or special meal requests as needed
- Adhere strictly to recipe guidelines while maintaining efficiency in meal preparation
Skills
- Prior experience in kitchen is preferred
- Knowledge of food handling, safety management, and sanitation procedures
- Strong knife skills including slicing techniques for various ingredients
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of food quality and safety
- Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork within the kitchen environment
- Background in food service or restaurant experience is advantageous
- Knowledge of catering processes and serving practices is a plus
- Commitment to food safety standards in production environments
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
