Kumon of Perry Hall is seeking an Education Assistant to help our classroom run smoothly and efficiently. There are only 2 subjects we offer in the program: Math & Reading. Kumon is not a tutoring program as the main focus is guidance and ensuring the students are building independence. Students range between 3 and 15 years old with varying levels of math and reading skills.
Qualifications
- Willingness to work with children.
- (Preferred) Adult applicants that are 18 years of age or older. **High School students who are 17 years of age or 16 years of age (with provisional drivers license) can be considered for the position.
- For current undergraduate/graduate students- (Preferred not required) majors include: Education, Math, Statistics, Economics, Physics, Chemistry, Engineering, Biochemistry, Computer Science, Finance, or other STEM background.
Our class days are Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays from 3:30pm - 7:00pm with start times varying from staff to staff. Please let us know which class days/times you are available. 9 hours per week is the minimum with a maximum of 14 hours.
- Staff members are strongly requested to commit to one year of employment at Kumon of Perry Hall. Please let us know if you are not able to fulfill this commitment.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $12.75 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 9 – 14 per week
