Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Food Safety Sanitation Manager to lead our food safety and quality assurance initiatives. Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive food safety programs aligned with HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points), GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), ISO 9001, and other relevant standards.
- Conduct regular quality audits and inspections to verify adherence to quality standards in production and ensure compliance with regulatory/legal requirements such as FDA regulations.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes for any deviations or non-conformances identified during inspections or audits.
- Oversee the training of staff on food safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and quality systems to promote a culture of continuous improvement.
- Manage internal and external quality audits, ensuring timely resolution of findings and implementation of best practices across manufacturing operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including production, engineering, and supply chain—to integrate lean management principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and GDT (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) into quality processes.
- Monitor key performance indicators related to food safety, quality control, and regulatory compliance; prepare detailed reports for senior management to inform decision-making.
Experience
- Proven experience practicing in an industrial or manufacturing engineering role within the food production sector.
- Extensive knowledge of HACCP, GMP, ISO 9001 standards, FDA regulations, and other relevant legal compliance standards.
- Demonstrated ability to lead quality audits, perform quality inspections, and manage quality assurance systems effectively.
- Strong understanding of Six Sigma manufacturing principles, lean management techniques, and GxP (Good Practice) standards such as GMP.
- Excellent analysis skills with the ability to identify root causes of issues and develop strategic solutions.
- Experience in team leadership with proven success in cross-functional communication and project management within a regulated environment.
- Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), QA/QC protocols, regulatory compliance frameworks, and ISO standards specific to the location is highly desirable.
