We are seeking an experienced and nature loving Retail Sales Associate to join our South Asheville team. This is an 15-30 hour/week position that reports directly to the Store Manager. This shift will be daytime. Our hours are 9:30am-5:30pm Mon-Sat. & 12n-5pm Sun. If you want a work environment that is fun and laid back, join our team! The primary responsibility of the Sales Associate is providing a high energy customer experience by assisting customers with their backyard bird feeding needs. Other duties include, ringing up customers, keeping sales floor stocked, clean and merchandised, checking in and unloading shipments (must be able to lift up to 25lbs.), as well as opening and closing the store. No cat or peanut allergies! (We foster a cat in the store, and our products are made with peanuts.)
We have a great training program, so bird knowledge is not required. However, previous retail experience with focus on high level customer service, and a willingness and ability to learn about the hobby of backyard bird feeding is required. We love nature, the birds and our customers, and take pride in providing them with the highest quality products and expert knowledge.
