The full performance level class works under general supervision & requires considerable knowledge of nature studies and recreational activities in order to plan & prepare group recreation/nature programs.
WORKING HOURS: 40 hours per week; hours vary. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES

Conducts recreational, natural and cultural history programs for organized groups and the general public. Creates, researches and organizes topical information and props for week long or half day programs and camps. Assists with daily care for all permanent or rehabilitated wildlife housed at the Critter Cove. Helps to maintain clean and healthy living environments, provides appropriate food and water for animal type, size and condition. Assists other staff and volunteers with recreational, natural and cultural history information.
Provides verbal and non-verbal communication concerning programs, parks, agency mission and recreational, natural and cultural history. Researches and designs age and space appropriate, seasonal and permanent displays for Critter Cove. Provides information for brochures, trail maps and other handouts. Assists Park staff with park/program information distribution (e.g. meetings, brochures); answers questions from the general public. Cares for program animals.
Performs other duties of a similar nature or level as assigned.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
UNUSUAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Predictable and regular attendance is required.
Travel may be required.
Climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.
Exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Works outside exposed to weather; venomous reptiles or infectious animal bites, & scratches & unpleasant odors; travels overnight.
