Position Availability
New River Dental Center is seeking a professional, dependable, and patient-focused Bilingual Front Desk Coordinator to join our dental team.
We are considering either:
- Two part-time employees, or
- One full-time employee
Applicants must be fluent in English and Spanish and able to communicate confidently with patients in both languages.
Position Summary
The Bilingual Front Desk Coordinator is often the first and last person our patients encounter. This individual must create a welcoming, respectful, and organized experience while helping the office maintain an efficient daily schedule.
The ideal candidate is professional, compassionate, detail-oriented, comfortable working in a fast-paced dental environment, and committed to providing excellent customer service to every patient.
Primary Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival.
- Answer incoming telephone calls and respond to patient questions.
- Communicate with patients in both English and Spanish.
- Schedule, confirm, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments.
- Maintain an accurate and productive appointment schedule.
- Register new patients and update existing patient information.
- Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and required documentation.
- Explain office policies, appointment expectations, and payment requirements.
- Collect copayments, deductibles, account balances, and other patient payments.
- Provide patients with receipts and document payments accurately.
- Assist patients with completing registration, medical history, and consent forms.
- Contact patients regarding upcoming appointments, missed appointments, treatment needs, and outstanding balances.
- Coordinate communication between patients, clinical team members, dentists, and outside providers.
- Scan, upload, organize, and maintain patient documents.
- Protect patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements.
- Assist with insurance verification and administrative tasks as assigned.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk and reception area.
- Support the dental team with other duties necessary for efficient office operations.
Required Qualifications
- Fluent in spoken English and Spanish.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous dental or medical front desk experience.
- Experience scheduling patients and managing appointment calendars.
- Familiarity with dental insurance verification and patient billing.
- Experience collecting patient payments and discussing account balances.
- Knowledge of dental terminology and treatment procedures.
- Experience using Eaglesoft or another dental practice-management system.
- Previous experience serving a diverse or bilingual patient population.
Dental experience is preferred; however, we will consider an exceptional candidate with strong front desk, customer service, hospitality, banking, or medical office experience.

Schedule
New River Dental Center generally operates:
- Monday–Wednesday: 7:30 a.m.–5:15 p.m.
- Thursday: 7:30 a.m.–2:15 p.m.
Part-Time Option
Two part-time positions may be structured as morning and afternoon shifts or as designated full-day schedules based on the needs of the practice.
Full-Time Option
One full-time employee may be scheduled throughout the practice’s regular Monday–Thursday operating hours.

Compensation
Compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, bilingual proficiency, dental-office knowledge, and the ability to perform the responsibilities of the position.
