Duties
- Assist the Store Manager in coordinating daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures
- Supervise and motivate sales associates, providing guidance on customer service, merchandising, and sales techniques
- Manage inventory control by overseeing stock levels, ordering purchasing supplies, and conducting regular stock audits
- Support recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing and onboarding new team members
- Handle cash register operations, including cashiering, cash handling, POS (Point of Sale) system management, and balancing registers
- Ensure compliance with company policies on pricing, merchandising standards, and safety protocols
- Provide training and development opportunities for staff to enhance their skills in retail math, phone etiquette, and product knowledge
Skills
- Proven management experience within the retail industry, including supervising teams and managing store operations
- Strong communication skills with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively
- Expertise in inventory management, purchasing, and stock control processes
- Skilled in negotiation, customer service excellence, and conflict resolution
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases
- Experience with payroll processing, bookkeeping, budgeting, and retail math calculations
- Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and retail sales strategies
- Demonstrated leadership in training & development initiatives and operational management
- Excellent organizational skills with an eye for merchandising details and store presentation
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently through time management and prioritization
