Responsibilities
- Clear and reset tables efficiently, ensuring they are spotless and properly set for new guests
- Assist servers by bussing tables promptly and accurately, supporting smooth service flow
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, including sweeping floors, wiping surfaces, and sanitizing tables and chairs in accordance with food safety standards
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of tableware, chairs, and supplies using safe lifting practices
- Support kitchen staff with basic food handling tasks when needed, including food safety compliance and sanitation procedures
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate cleaning schedules and guest needs
- Uphold high standards of sanitation and hygiene throughout the restaurant environment to ensure a safe dining experience for all guests
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key!
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and guests
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking
- Knowledge of sanitation practices, food safety regulations, and kitchen hygiene standards is a plus
- Customer service mindset with a positive attitude and energetic approach to teamwork
- Basic understanding of restaurant operations such as table setting, bussing procedures, and hospitality etiquette
- Flexibility to work during busy hours including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
