Our Evidence-Based Solutions
At Positive Behavioral Solutions, we take a trauma-informed approach to helping children and families heal and thrive. We specialize in evidence-based practices that make a real difference for the youth we work with:
- Modular Approach to Therapy with Children (MATCH): This flexible, short-term therapy helps kids aged 5 to 17 who are dealing with anxiety, depression, PTSD, or disruptive behaviors. It’s designed to meet each child’s unique needs, providing effective, personalized support.
- Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT): A proven short-term therapy model for youth aged 3 to 18 who have experienced trauma. It focuses on helping them process and heal from their experiences.
- Adoption Competent Therapy (ACT): This family-focused therapy is designed specifically for youth who have been adopted or are in foster care. It’s trauma-informed and strengths-based, aiming to support both the child and their family.

We are currently offering exciting opportunities for therapists in Jacksonville, FL. As part of our team, you’ll have the flexibility to see clients at one of our office locations or, when appropriate, in community settings such as clients' homes, schools, or other agreed-upon public spaces.
While therapy is typically delivered in person, alternative arrangements can be made when necessary to best support clients' needs. This position is "Fee-for-Service" and independently contracted, offering flexibility and autonomy in your work.
To be successful in this role, applicants must have dependable transportation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage and maintain an active caseload. Job Types: Full-time and Part-time Contract Positions
- Full-Time Caseload: Must hold a minimum of 20 clients and above weekly.
- Part-Time Caseload: Must hold a minimum of 10-15 clients weekly.

Position Requirements:
We’re excited to hire Mental Health Therapists who are comfortable providing face-to-face services in community settings like homes, schools, and public spaces.
Qualifications:
- A Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling Psychology, or a related field.
- One of the following:
- Eligible for licensure through the Florida 491 Board
- Registered as a Clinical Intern with the Florida 491 Board
- Licensed as a Social Worker, Mental Health Counselor, or Marriage and Family Therapist
What we’re looking for:
- Passion for working with children and families (ages 13 and younger)
- Flexibility, independence, and a goal-oriented mindset
- Willingness to work with children and families in face-to-face settings.
- Daytime availability for training and/or meetings during business hours.
- Ability to complete weekly and/or monthly documentation deadlines.
- Ability to work in the evenings to conduct therapy sessions with clients.
As part of our team, you’ll also attend monthly supervision meetings to support your professional growth.
Duties and Responsibilities:
As a Mental Health Therapist, you will play a key role in directly supporting clients and families through individual and family therapy sessions.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing therapy to all assigned clients and families.
- Scheduling and managing your appointments promptly.
- Building trust and rapport with clients and families to foster a positive therapeutic relationship.
- Meeting weekly and/or monthly documentation deadlines to ensure accurate and up-to-date client records, including Progress Notes, Monthly Summaries, Treatment Plan Reviews, and Annual Assessments.
- Completing Progress Notes within 48 hours after a session.
- Collaborating with other organizations and healthcare providers as needed for comprehensive treatment.
- Communicating effectively with our administrative team to ensure smooth operations.
- Attend monthly supervision meetings to continue your professional development.

- Bilingual/Multilingual (Spanish, Portuguese, and/or Haitian-Creole)
- Culturally Competent
