HOW THIS POSITION SUPPORTS THE DEPARTMENT’S VISION:
The Motor Vehicle and Driver License Office Division, License Office Bureau, is seeking a Staff Development Trainer to deliver predesigned and/or customized instructional programs and training course material to contract license offices across the state. This trainer will conduct in-person and virtual training sessions across Missouri to train license offices employees how to process both motor vehicle and driver license transactions.
Responsibilities - What you’ll do
DUTIES PERFORMED TO SUPPORT THE DEPARTMENT’S VISION:
This description may not include all the duties, knowledge, skills, or abilities associated with this title.
- Present training on motor vehicle and driver license transactional processing as well as management duties such as deposits, and other topics as the need arises
- Develop new training material to align with the organization’s initiatives
- Assist in the planning process for monthly training schedules
- In-State Travel required – approximately 80% of the time
- Overnight stays required, sometimes for several days at a time
- Assisting the Motor Vehicle and Driver’s License Bureau’s Walk-in areas during peak times (located in Jefferson City, MO)

Qualifications - All you need for success
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5-7 years of relevant customer service experience
- Knowledge and understanding of Motor Vehicle/Marine titling and registration policies and procedures.
- Knowledge and understanding of Driver License policies and procedures.
- Professional or technical experience in a license office.
- Considerable knowledge of the principles and techniques of effective management, supervision and organization.
- Working knowledge and understanding of license office operations.
- Must have the ability to communicate clearly and concisely in writing and when speaking.
- Work collaboratively with contractors, DOR team members, and the citizens of Missouri.
- Able to assess, evaluate and appropriately coach license office staff.
- Hold and maintain a valid Driver License.
- Physically able to stand or sit for long periods, drive long distances and lift at least 50 lbs.
