About Us: At A&M Sweets, we are a twin-owned business dedicated to crafting homemade breads and sweet treats. We currently serve one of the largest coffee chains in Oregon and strive to create a memorable experience through our exceptional products and customer service :) However we will be transitioning to more retail focused operations soon.
Position: Bakery Team Member
Hours: Part-time position, with possibility for more hours
Key Responsibilities:
Packaging:
- Hand slicing and packaging our product
- Boxing up product for weekly orders.
- Help facilitate weekly orders
- Organize inventory
- Operate kitchen equipment; bread sealer
- Maintain a fast-paced workflow with a sense of urgency
- Set up and close workstations, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
- Assist Bakers with any baking, prep and kitchen operations when needed
- Perform kitchen cleaning duties and dishwashing.
- Assist with overlapping packaging and kitchen prep tasks.
Requirements:
- Minimum Age: 18 years old. (No exceptions due to kitchen equipment)
- Availability: Early morning shifts from Monday to Friday (starting at 6 am). Weekend availability is a plus
- Physical Stamina: Ability to be on your feet all day and lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Team Player: Works well with others and takes direction easily.
- Self-Motivation: Ability to work independently with good time management.
- Adaptability: Willingness to wear many hats and assist wherever needed.
- Food Safety Knowledge: Understanding of food safety and handling standards.
- Basic Math Skills: Capability to measure, weigh ingredients, and perform basic calculations.
This position will primarily focus on packaging and facilitating orders for our wholesale bakery operations.
