Job Title: Impregnator Operator (12-Hour Day Shift)
Reports To: Production Supervisor
Shift: Days (7am - 7pm)
Position Summary
The Impregnator Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring the impregnator machine, ensuring product quality, maintaining safe work practices, and supporting production operations. Candidates must be able to work a 12-hour day shift and perform duties in a manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Control and adjust all machine controls operating the Impregnator.
- Communicate effectively with employees along the production line.
- Ensure proper surfacing materials are added to the sheet.
- Assist with adjusting selvage width.
- Perform lace-up procedures.
- Pump out the impregnator at the end of the day or during product changes, ensuring pump-out valves are properly operated.
- Wear required PPE during pump-out operations, including long-sleeve shirt, hardhat with face shield, and gloves.
- Ensure no other operators are in the area while pumping hot compounds.
- Cross-train in other positions as required.
- Maintain housekeeping and cleanliness in assigned work areas.
- Work safely and comply with all company safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Schedule Requirements
- Must be able to work 12-hour day shifts.
- Must be available to work rotating shifts, weekends, and overtime as required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 120 pounds.
- Ability to climb ladders.
- Ability to work in hot and humid environments (up to 115°F).
- Ability to stoop, bend, and crouch for brief periods.
Qualifications
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and counting.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety.
- Good communication skills.
- Forklift training and certification preferred or required.

- Must wear required PPE for all assigned tasks.
- Must be aware of job-specific hazards and work safely at all times.
