The Operations Assistant, Physical Plant provides administrative and logistical support to the Operations team to ensure the delivery of quality services to individuals residing in CADES’ residential program.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Physical Plant

Assist in the completion of monthly physical plant walkthroughs supporting the management team in the process.

Support on-site troubleshooting for the homes including, but not limited to phone and internet outages, temperature concerns, and power outages by helping management to get a resolution.

Participate in annual physical plant self-assessments for 6400 licensing as directed.

Complete weekly compliance checks of work order completion to ensure work is completed and standards are maintained.
Supplies and Inventory

Manage backup inventory for needed supplies in the homes including, but not limited to, personal hygiene supplies, cleaning supplies, kitchenware and small appliances, bedding and bath supplies.

Provide support with replacing home essentials including, but not limited to, towels and washcloths, pillows, blankets and bedding, pots, pans and cooking equipment, dishes, utensils, and drinkware.

Oversee and monitor food orders for all homes by ensuring food orders are submitted based on the established schedule for each home and monitoring food orders to ensure items purchased meet the requirements established for the home based on individual preferences, dietary needs and choices.

Education/Experience/Skills Requirements

High school diploma or graduate equivalency diploma.

Two (2) years’ experience providing logistical support within a residential program.

Non-profit human services experience preferred.

Knowledge of PA Department of Public Welfare 6400 regulations.

Two (2) years’ experience working with individuals living with multiple disabilities, including a strong understanding of the safety and communication support required for individuals with physical disabilities.

Experience using electronic management/electronic records systems preferred

Must be able to perform CPR, First Aid, and crisis intervention using agency-trained protocols.

Must possess a current, valid driver's license in the state of residence, have a minimum of three (3) years of driving experience within the United States, and have an acceptable driving record, which will be assessed through a review of the Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) record.
