Job Purpose
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for supporting inventory handling and warehouse operations across Shipping, Receiving, and Teardown departments. This role provides essential operational support to improve efficiency and maintain accurate inventory control while ensuring compliance with company standards. Through hands-on training and experience, the Warehouse Associate will develop a broad understanding of warehouse workflows, systems, and processes, creating opportunities for future growth and advancement within the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Perform all job duties in accordance with ITS policies, procedures, and safety standards
· Follow proper ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) handling practices when working with sensitive components
· Learn and understand warehouse location systems and shelving organization
· Gain knowledge of trace documentation and its importance in inventory management
· Utilize Pentagon (internal system) to perform inventory lookups and access relevant documentation
· Accurately enter data into Receive Master/Pentagon and maintain system integrity
· Verify proper identification and documentation for all parts received, stored, or shipped
· Ensure all shipments meet customer requirements for accuracy, quality, and documentation
Package products appropriately to ensure safe transport and maintain a professional presentation
· Support in-house material control by accurately recording and updating inventory locations
· Assist in prioritizing repair orders and maintaining daily shipment flow
· Confirm accuracy of inventory counts and assist with cycle counts or audits as needed
· Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely (once trained and certified)
· Assist with warehouse and facility cleanliness and organization
· Collaborate with warehouse leads and team members to support daily operational needs
· Participate in training across departments to develop overall warehouse knowledge and capability
Qualifications
· High School Diploma or GED required
· 1+ years of warehouse or logistics experience preferred
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
· Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
· Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
· Willingness to learn and expand skill sets across multiple warehouse functions
Working Conditions
Work is performed in a warehouse environment and may include exposure to varying temperatures, loud machinery, and equipment. The role may also involve limited exposure to chemicals and other materials typical of warehouse operations.
Physical Requirements
While performing the responsibilities of this role, the employee is required to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks including lifting (up to 50 lbs.), pushing, pulling, bending, squatting, and reaching. The position requires the ability to handle materials safely and efficiently throughout the workday.
