Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. Cooking meals, and maintaining the highest standards of food safety and cleanliness.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other cooking tools.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages as needed.
- Participate in catering events as required, ensuring high-quality food presentation.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or fine dining setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques and culinary terminology.
- Knowledge of dietary aide practices is a plus.
- Strong knife skills and ability to work with various cooking methods.
- Experience in the food industry, particularly in fast-paced environments, is highly desirable.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.
