The Senior Technical Leader at the Strother facility leads the Propulsion Engineering and Test Cell Engineering team supporting both Commercial and Military platforms. This role provides technical and people leadership across the site, sets engineering priorities, and ensures safe, compliant, and efficient support to production and test operations.
This leader serves as a key partner to Operations, Safety, Quality, and program teams, helping the site deliver on customer and business commitments through strong technical judgment, disciplined execution, and continuous improvement.
Roles and Responsibilities
Partner with Operations, Safety, and Quality to maintain standard work, risk management, and configuration control
Represent the engineering function in site leadership and cross-functional forums, communicating technical status, risks, and mitigation plans
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering or related technical discipline with a minimum of 5 years of experience in propulsion, gas turbine engine, test cell engineering, or related aerospace engineering environment; or a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 9 years of experience in propulsion, gas turbine engine, test cell engineering, or related aerospace engineering environment.
Experience with issue resolution, root cause analysis, and corrective actions in a regulated, quality-driven, or operational environment
Direct experience with propulsion test facilities, instrumentation, data acquisition, and test methods
Familiarity with aerospace regulatory frameworks and customer requirements, such as FAA, DoD, and OEM standards
Experience with lean or continuous improvement methods, including standard work, root cause analysis, and process optimization
