About the Position
Federal Roofing Company is seeking an experienced Roofing Technician to join our growing team. We are looking for motivated individuals who take pride in quality workmanship, maintain a strong work ethic, and can safely install and repair a variety of commercial and residential roofing systems.
Required Experience
Applicants should have experience with one or more of the following roofing systems:
- TPO Roofing Systems
- PVC Roofing Systems
- Modified Bitumen (Hot Asphalt)
- Modified Bitumen (Cold Process)
- Standing Seam Metal Roofing
- Metal Shingle Roofing Systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with asphalt shingle roofing
- Commercial roof repairs and leak investigations
- Installation of insulation, cover boards, flashings, and edge metal
- Installation of pipe boots, pitch pans, curbs, and roof penetrations
- Ability to read plans and follow project specifications
- Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain commercial and residential roofing systems
- Perform roof tear-offs and new roof installations
- Install flashings, penetrations, edge metal, and waterproofing details
- Maintain a clean and safe job site
- Operate roofing tools and equipment safely
- Work efficiently as part of a team while producing high-quality workmanship
- Follow manufacturer installation guidelines and company quality standards
- Travel to project sites as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of roofing experience preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work at heights and lift 75+ pounds
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Dependable with excellent attendance
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions
- OSHA certification is a plus (not required)
