Summary of Performance Expectations
Provides age-appropriate nursing care to patients as follows:
Adult and Geriatric Medical-Surgical Patients – Surgical, Medical, Telemetry, Cardiac Rehab, or Oncology
Infant Patients – Level II Nursery
Infant through Adult – Birthing Center
Infant through Geriatric – Pediatrics, ED, Surgical Suite, Critical Care
Adult and Geriatric Psychiatric Patients – Adult Psychiatry and Commitment Psychiatry
Education and Credentials:
Required:
- Graduate of accredited nursing program.
- Current NC RN license or licensure from Nursing Compact State.
- BCLS certification. If the BCLS certification is not from the American Heart Association (AHA), an AHA certification is required within three months of employment date.
Preferred:
Specialty course work in area of practice.
Work Experience:
Required:
CCU, Telemetry, or equivalent experience required. Given training and on-the-job experience incumbent should be proficient in the basic aspects of the job within three months of employment date.
