The Hygiene Assistant supports the dental hygienists in delivering exceptional patient care by preparing treatment rooms, assisting during hygiene procedures, maintaining infection control standards, taking radiographs, and ensuring efficient patient flow throughout the day. This role is essential in creating a positive patient experience while helping the hygiene department operate at maximum efficiency.
Primary Job Responsibilities
· Assist hygienists in x-rays, charting and patient flow
· Pediatric cleanings and x-rays
· Welcome patients and escort them to/from treatment rooms
· Verify current medical history and patient records
· Reinforce oral hygiene instructions
· Schedule follow up treatment when appropriate
· Setup and breakdown treatment rooms, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and sterilization
· Prepare instruments and materials
· Stock operatories and ensure accurate inventory levels
This position is Monday – Thursday, 8:45 AM – 5:00 PM
