Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Day Custodian Supervisor to lead our custodial team in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily custodial activities, including cleaning, laundry, and general maintenance tasks
- Lead a team of custodians by providing clear instructions, training, and ongoing support to ensure high-quality service delivery
- Oversee the proper use of cleaning supplies, equipment, and safety protocols to maintain compliance with health standards
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to ensure cleanliness, safety, and adherence to organizational policies
- Manage scheduling and staffing assignments to optimize coverage during daytime hours
- Address custodial issues promptly by troubleshooting problems and implementing effective solutions
- Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement within the custodial staff
Experience
- Proven supervising experience in custodial services or janitorial management within commercial, hospitality, or hotel environments
- Strong background in cleaning techniques, including commercial cleaning and housekeeping management
- Experience with laundry operations and maintaining cleanliness standards in hospitality settings
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff effectively
- Familiarity with safety procedures related to custodial work and equipment handling
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience required; hotel or hospitality experience is highly desirable
- Knowledge of management principles related to housekeeper supervision and facility maintenance
