The Plant Electrician oversees complex electrical troubleshooting, system upgrades, and control system support. Ensures high reliability of plant electrical systems. May mentor junior electricians.
- Diagnose and repair high- and low-voltage systems, motor controls, and drives.

Install and maintain PLCs, VFDs, and control circuits.

Lead electrical projects and ensure code compliance.

Mentor Electrician I and II personnel and support cross-training.

Interface with automation, engineering, and maintenance teams.

Maintain technical documentation and update panel schematics.

Additional duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

3-5 years of industrial or heavy manufacturing electrical experience.

Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex schematics and control diagrams.

Familiarity with Rockwell, Siemens, or similar PLC platforms.

Licensed or certified as a journeyman electrician preferred.

Strong troubleshooting and decision-making skills.

High level of safety and quality.

Ability to multi-task at a fast-pace (at times), work in outside conditions during all seasons, climb multi-levels by stairs & ladders, work from elevated platforms, use hand tools (shovel, hammer, wrenches, etc.).

Good problem-solving skills.

Mine Safety and Health (MSHA) Knowledge - Preferred.
