American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with 2+ years experience for an acute care Cardiac Cath Lab requiring RCIS or ARRT (CI)/(CV) certification.

Acute care Cardiac Cath Lab setting with 3 suites/labs
-
Average of 5-10 cases per day
-
Patient population includes PCI, diagnostic caths, device implants, peripheral/IR cases, and IVC filters
-
Uses MEDITECH EMR and McKesson/GE equipment
-
IR procedures are performed within the cath lab by IR physicians
-
Days shift, either 5x8s (8:30am-5pm) or 4x10s (7am-4:30pm), based on traveler preference
-
On-call required 1-2 weeknights per week from end of shift until 6:30am
-
On-call required every 3rd or 4th weekend from end of shift Friday until 6:30am Monday
-
On-call required for 1 major holiday and holiday weekend per year
-
Call response time of 20 minutes

No floating required
-
Minimum of 2 years experience as a Cath Lab Technologist

Current BLS (AHA) certification required
-
RT certification required
-
RCIS or ARRT (CI) or (CV) certification required

Oregon license required if applicable

Radiation badge required for this assignment (not provided by facility)

Skilled in setting up sterile tables and scrubbing coronary angiograms/interventions, STEMIs, peripheral angiograms/interventions, and thrombectomies

Competent in all access site management including groin, radial, and drains
-
Knowledge and skills with atherectomy devices required
-
Impella and IABP skills required
-
Copy of driver's license required for consideration

Primary responsibility is scrubbing all cases tableside with the physician
-
May also be asked to function as a circulator for cases

Responsible for groin management post-procedure
-
Manager oversees scheduling and procedures
-
Orientation includes peer-based training from a Special Procedure Tech

Scrubs are supplied by the department
