Horizon Contracting Services is hiring experienced Aerial Linemen / Pole Crew members for long‑term fiber construction projects. This is production‑based work with one of the highest pay rates in the region. Crews perform strand placement, lashing, pole transfers, and drop work.
Pay Structure (Crew Rate):
-$0.40 per foot (crew total)
-Typical weekly production: 12,000–18,000 ft
-Weekly crew gross: $4,800–$7,200
-Lead linemen typically earn $1,400–$2,000/week
-Ground hands earn $1,000–$1,500/week
-Helpers earn $700–$1,200/week
Responsibilities:
-Install strand, fiber, and aerial plant
-Lash fiber on existing strand
-Perform pole transfers and light make‑ready
-Read and follow maps, prints, and QC notes
-Pole Climbing
-Perform drop placement and terminal installation
-Maintain safe work zones and traffic control
-Communicate with supervisors and QC teams
Requirements:
-2+ year aerial fiber or coax experience
-Must have own tools and climbing gear
-Ability to climb poles safely
-Knowledge of strand, lashing, and aerial construction
-Valid driver’s license
-Must follow all utility safety rules
-Must maintain professional conduct on job sites
