We are currently seeking a full-time, experienced Auto Technician to join our service and parts department. As an Auto Technician, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and repairing a wide range of mechanical issues on our customers' vehicles as well as our own used inventory. This includes but is not limited to addressing AC and electrical problems, brakes, oil changes, safety inspections for lot vehicles, etc. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to engage in various customer service duties throughout the day.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough diagnostics to identify mechanical issues and determine the appropriate repair solutions
- Perform repairs and maintenance tasks efficiently and accurately, adhering to industry standards and safety protocols
- Address AC and electrical problems, ensuring proper functioning of the vehicle's systems
- Utilize your expertise to recommend and explain necessary repairs to customers, providing excellent customer service
- Maintain detailed records of all repairs, including parts used, time spent, and any additional relevant information
- Collaborate with other technicians and team members to optimize service efficiency and workflow
- Stay updated on the latest automotive technology, trends, and repair techniques through continuous learning and training opportunities
- Assist with maintaining a clean and organized work environment
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification from an accredited automotive program is preferred
- Proven experience as an Auto Technician, with a background in diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues
- Proficient knowledge of automotive systems, including AC and electrical systems
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate effectively
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills
- Valid driver's license
