SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
The 2nd Shift Warehouse Supervisor directs the activities of warehouse personnel involved in the receiving of various products into the facility, the movements of products within the facility, and the picking and loading of products. The candidate is responsible for scheduling manpower and directing warehouse staff on a day-to-day work plan as established by the Warehouse Manager; and ensures that all policies and procedures are followed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Supervises all shipping, receiving, and other activities performed by the warehouse team; maintains a high degree of visibility and access to employees on the warehouse floor throughout the shift.
- Ensures quality, efficiency, and data accuracy across all areas within the warehouse (kitting, receiving, inventory, production needs, and material handling).
- Maintains and documents all warehouse equipment daily.
- Complies with safety rules and ensures compliance with OSHA standards, and state and local regulations including FDA standards.
- Be an advocate for safe work habits, and a safe work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing company standards, GMPs, PPE requirements, and procedures.
- Strong technical experience with the ability to quickly learn new programs and applications to support operations.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, peers, management, team members, and other departments.
- Works with Operation Supervisors to ensure coordination of the warehouse to meet production needs.
- Responsible for cross-communication between shifts.
- Establishes and maintains department standards for productivity, reliability, and accuracy.
- Forecasts crewing needs to meet peak demands of the business and staff team accordingly; trains, motivates, coaches, rewards, and disciplines team being supervised; resolves personnel issues.
- Coordinates with the warehouse manager to manage personnel issues including but not limited to vacation approvals, timecard approval, daily and weekly overtime, hiring, and training.
- Leads crew by example by loading trucks and/or performing other duties as necessary.
- Performs required administrative tasks; prepares required reports and correspondence.
- Assists warehouse manager with the development and implementation of policies and procedures; ensures all established policies and procedures are followed by crew.
- Assists with inventory activities; supervises inventory control process.
- Oversees the sanitation activities performed in the warehouse.
- Resolves warehouse-related issues with representatives from other departments throughout the company.
- Maintains a working knowledge of all operating systems pertaining to the work area.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities per the organization's policies and applicable laws.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
