POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team! Within our company, the Estimator is responsible in providing material take-offs, cost estimates, planning, and documentation of sales opportunities as well as assisting the Project Managers with job handoff documentation. It is expected the Estimator is confident in estimating a multitude of diffrent projects sizes and values. A successful Estimator at our company applies themselves, is disciplined, and thinks outside the box to bring success to projects and company initiatives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Prepares accurate material take-offs.
· Organizes specifications per job scope for estimate.
· Prepares substitution requests for value engineering purposes.
· Prepare project cost estimate and bid for new projects.
· Computes costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements.
· Visits site as needed for estimating.
· Is available as a resource for material, supplies, and equipment needed to perform
work.
· Manage job information and documentation for future access, as necessary.
· Empowers and mentors the assistant estimators in their career development.
· Tracks ongoing bids, past bids, and any other assignments, as necessary.
· Collaborates with supervisor on all quotes or bids for best market positioning.
· Copies correct individual(s) on all quotes or bids sent to clients.
· Updates supervisor on status of bids in process or sent.
· Prepare for hand off meeting held with Project Team to discuss Scope of Work for
assigned Project.
· Maintains and develops good working relationships with vendors.
· Maintains and develops good working relationships with our clients and potential
clients.
· As scheduled and approved, attends association and network events.

Special vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth and peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment, particularly when in the field, can vary significantly and at times be very loud. Responsibilities include driving to and from project sites to the office and any other meetings that take place across MD, VA & DC.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
