Duties
- Prepare and assemble menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, mixing, portioning, and plating to support smooth kitchen operations.
- Maintain strict food safety and sanitation practices in compliance with health regulations.
- Handle food with care, following proper storage, handling, and rotation procedures to minimize waste and ensure freshness.
- Support catering events and special functions by preparing ingredients and assisting with meal assembly.
- Keep the kitchen clean and organized by washing dishes, sanitizing workstations, and managing supplies efficiently.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of orders while upholding excellent food service standards.
Skills
- Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable.
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and menu planning within a restaurant or fine dining setting.
- Proven skills in food handling, safety protocols, and kitchen operations within the food industry.
- Experience in catering or large-scale meal preparation is a plus.
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper sanitation practices.
