Duties
- Load and unload materials using forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment while adhering to safety protocols
- Operate material handling equipment such as cranes, RF scanners, and order pickers to facilitate efficient order picking and inventory management
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes by verifying shipments against documentation and ensuring proper storage
- Conduct manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and precise material placement to maintain organized warehouse spaces
- Use warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory levels, update records, and support stock accuracy
- Pick orders accurately using <PERSON> pick systems or manual methods, preparing items for shipment or restocking
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment by following OSHA standards and safety procedures at all times
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution, order picking, or related warehouse roles with familiarity in warehouse operations
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, cranes, and load & unload machinery safely and efficiently
- Strong understanding of inventory management systems and materials handling techniques
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments accurately
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and mechanical knowledge related to warehouse equipment maintenance
- Experience with shipping & receiving procedures including load & unload activities
- Construction or heavy machinery experience is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting while maintaining safety protocols
