Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment
- Maintain floors through sweeping, mopping, buffing, and carpet cleaning to ensure a polished appearance
- Handle trash removal and recycling duties efficiently to uphold cleanliness standards
- Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards
- Assist with light custodial tasks such as window washing, dusting, and surface disinfecting
- Support facilities maintenance activities including minor repairs and equipment upkeep
- Follow safety protocols and proper procedures for handling cleaning chemicals and equipment
Requirements
- Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles, preferably within commercial or industrial settings
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques including floor care, buffing, and industrial cleaning methods
- Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as floor buffers or carpet extractors confidently
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, lift, and perform manual tasks throughout the shift
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Prior experience with facilities maintenance or residential painting is a plus but not required
