We are seeking a hands-on Supervisor of Maintenance & Facilities to lead our maintenance team in a manufacturing environment. This role is critical to ensuring our equipment, utilities, and facility systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably while supporting production goals.
4-Day Work Week: Monday–Thursday (4 x 10-hour shifts)

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Operations

Lead, coach, and develop maintenance technicians (mechanical & electrical)

Plan, prioritize, and oversee daily maintenance and work orders

Partner with production to minimize downtime and maximize reliability

Support hiring, training, and performance management
-
Serve as point of contact for vendors/ utility providers/ regulatory agencies
Maintenance & Facilities
-
Manage preventive and corrective maintenance programs
-
Troubleshoot equipment issues and ensure timely resolution
-
Oversee installation, repair, and movement of equipment and utilities
-
Maintain CMMS records and support new equipment commissioning
-
Oversee utilities including electrical, gas, air, water, and process systems
-
Responsible for overseeing upkeep of grounds and facilities
Electrical & Compliance
-
Supervise electrical work in compliance with NEC and state regulations
-
Maintain panels, transformers, MCCs, drives, and controls
-
Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA (70E), and LOTO procedures

Support environmental and regulatory requirements
Continuous Improvement

Drive reliability and efficiency improvements
-
Perform root cause analysis on recurring issues

Partner on capital and process improvement projects
Qualifications
-
Valid Virginia Electrical License (required)

5+ years in manufacturing/industrial maintenance
-
2+ years in a leadership role
-
High school diploma or GED (technical degree preferred)

Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA, PLCs, drives, and control systems

Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and three-phase systems

Ability to read schematics and blueprints

Work Environment
This role operates in a manufacturing facility where conditions may include exposure to loud noise, fluctuating temperatures (hot or cold), and moving machinery. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required. The position involves walking, standing, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting of materials.
