Opportunity
The Assistant Tournament Coordinator will assist to coordinate in-house group events and tournaments. Assist to string member and guest racquets and with other assigned duties. This is an hourly position.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Will assist in starting an event/tournament file, contacting each group, and detailing their event/tournament.
- During the detailing process, will confirm times, review contract, discuss merchandise options, discuss tournament set-up, and review billing information.
- Responsible for preparing information sheet for participants and responsible for communicating all appropriate information to the staff who will be working and interacting with the event.
- Will assist in coordinating all tournament set-up and execution when appropriate. May be called upon to assist with other events when appropriate.
- Other duties as assigned to assist with the overall execution of the Racquet Sports Department. Including racquet stringing and gripping.
This is a casual part-time position working weekends and weekdays. Hours vary between 8:00am - 9:00 pm.
Skills/Requirements
- Must have at least 1 year experience working with tennis events/tournaments.
- Preferred Associates Degree in applicable field.
- Strong customer service, communication, and computer skills are necessary.
This position will require some lifting, bending, reaching, squatting, twisting, and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.

The hourly range for this position is $15.20 - $22.80. The specific hourly rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including candidate's education and work location.
