The HSMP department supports a multidisciplinary group of research-intensive faculty members and offers graduate education through M.P.H, and Ph.D. programs in health policy and health services research. Faculty enjoy rich opportunities for collaboration with numerous academic and clinical units affiliated with the $7 billion state of the art Anschutz Medical Campus, including the CU School of Medicine, CU College of Nursing, and other health professions schools, the UCHealth system, an NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center, Children’s Hospital Colorado, and the VA Eastern Colorado Health Care System. Beyond campus, faculty collaborate with innovative healthcare systems and government agencies regionally and nationally, utilizing a robust data environment that includes a campus-wide clinical data warehouse, regional electronic health data networks, a statewide all-payor claims database, and a federal research data center.
