American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) - Cardiac position requiring 2 years of recent PCU experience and EPIC proficiency.

Acute care hospital setting within the PCU-Cardiac unit

Patient ratio of 1:5
-
Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
-
13-week assignment length
-
Every other weekend (EOW) required
-
No on-call responsibilities
-
Floating required to similar units as needed
-
Block scheduling may be accommodated but is not guaranteed
-
Patient population includes chest pain, syncope, heart failure, sepsis, overdose, GI bleed, COPD, and pneumonia
-
Overflow coverage for Medical, Surgical, Trauma, Oncology, and Orthopedic patients
-
Special procedures include post-cath with stent (no CABG), ICD/pacer insertions, and cardioversions
-
EPIC EMR system used for charting
-
Active NH state or compact RN license required
-
BLS and ACLS certifications required
-
EKG test required upon arrival
-
Minimum 2 years of RN experience, with strong PCU background within the last year
-
EPIC EMR experience required
-
First-time travelers accepted only with EPIC experience and 2 years of experience

Pending license accepted

References required for consideration

Preferred skills include CPI, sheath removal, and care of ventilated patients
-
Provide cardiac telemetry monitoring and care within a Level Trauma acute care hospital with 300 staffed beds
-
Manage patients requiring cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and emergency response
-
Utilize rapid response and code teams as needed
-
Scrub color is unrestricted
-
No parking costs at this facility

If contracted during all 3 major winter holidays, at least 2 of 3 must be worked; approved holiday RTO depends on unit availability
-
Travelers residing within 50 miles of the facility are accepted at a local rate
-
Former employees of any facility associated with this health system are not eligible for consideration, regardless of separation length
