We are seeking energetic and dedicated Intermodal Company Drivers to join our team locally in Charleston, SC. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be a part of our drayage team. As a key player in our logistics network, you'll be responsible for transporting intermodal containers and freight between terminals, warehouses, and customer sites. Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmissions across designated routes within the local area.
- Transport intermodal containers and freight efficiently between terminals, warehouses, and customer locations while adhering to all safety regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT standards.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, freight details, and delivery documentation in accordance with company policies.
- Route driving with a focus on timely deliveries while managing traffic conditions and road hazards proactively.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules, load status, and any issues encountered during routes.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with experience operating tractor-trailers in local routes.
- MUST HAVE TWIC CARD
- 2 Years of driving experience
- 6 months of container experience
- Clean MVR and Criminal Record
- Knowledge of route planning and navigation for efficient deliveries within the local area.
