The Center for Sleep Medicine is a forward-thinking, AASM-accredited, and 100% employee-owned practice specializing in comprehensive sleep care. We are currently seeking a full-time and on-site Medical Billing Specialist to join our team in Orland Park, IL.
In this role, you will be responsible for handling inbound and outbound patient calls regarding billing, insurance, and account questions, and managing insurance accounts receivables (which requires attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and strong customer service skills).
This is a full-time and on-site position.
Schedule: Monday - Thursday: 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Responsibilities:
- Ensure all claims are properly billed for all services
- Work patient accounts receivable reports and research outstanding balances
- Work assigned insurance denials and follow up on claim issues as needed
- Ensure payments are received and processed in a timely manner
- Work all denials
- Handle inbound and outbound patient calls regarding billing, insurance, and account questions
- Perform insurance verification
- Obtain and follow up on prior authorizations as needed
- Provide professional and compassionate customer service to patients, providers, and insurance representatives
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of medical billing experience
- CPT experience required
- ICD-10 experience preferred
- DME experience preferred
- Must have the ability to work independently
- Self-motivated with strong communication and customer service skills
