Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (Full-Time)
General Description:
Cape Cod Pediatrics, a well-established private pediatric practice located in a quaint historical village on Cape Cod, is seeking an experienced certified pediatric nurse practitioner to join our exceptional team. You will work collaboratively with other practice staff members to deliver high quality care to a diverse patient network. You will be responsible for providing the full scope of primary care services which fall under your field of training, including but not limited to, diagnosis, treatment, coordination of care, preventative care and health maintenance. You should be passionate about providing patient-centered care and should be willing to make quality improvements to best service pediatric patients. evaluate, treat and manage the acute and preventative needs of pediatric patients from birth to young adults in a primary care setting Monday through Friday.
Summary of Duties:
- Performs assessment, diagnosis and treatment for patients in a variety of visit types, including, annual well visits, sick visits, consultations, follow-up visits and immunization visits
- Provide age-appropriate care for a wide patient panel, ranging from newborns to young adults
- Properly refers patients to medical specialists or other practitioners when necessary
- Maintains accurate and complete medical history and information in patient charts
- Records all care information concisely, accurately and completely, in a timely manner on the appropriate forms and EHR, Epic
- Works collaboratively with the rest of the practice's staff to provide coordinated healthcare
- Engages in various educational and professional development trainings to enhance your ability to provide effective, efficient and quality care
- Shares knowledge with other nursing staff to improve the practice's clinical practices and help maintain a productive team-based environment
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's degree in nursing
- Completion of an accredited educational program for pediatric nurse practitioners
- Current Commonwealth of MA license of Advanced Practice Nurse and Certificate from AANP or ANCC
- Current DEA and Commonwealth of MA registrations for writing prescriptions
- Current BLS certificate
- Experience working as a pediatric nurse practitioner
- Experience with electronic health records - Epic preferred
- Passionate about working with pediatric patients and their families
