In this position, you will operate a tractor-trailers, delivering freight safely and on time. Your expertise in navigating local routes, handling logistics cargo, and complying with federal and state regulations will ensure smooth operations from start to finish. Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks such as tractor-trailers.
- Use GPS navigation systems to plan optimal routes and ensure timely deliveries while adhering to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) standards.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo manifests, inspection reports, and delivery documentation in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to identify maintenance needs or safety issues.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery schedules, or unforeseen delays.
Qualifications
- At least two years of driving experience.
- Valid commercial driver’s license Class A (CDL), with endorsements for Hazmat or tanker preferred.
- Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and logistics cargo handling procedures.
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) rules, and safety standards for truck driving.
