Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated High School/Middle School Teacher specializing in Spanish, Science, or Math to inspire and educate students across diverse grade levels. Duties
- Design and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards for Spanish, Science, or Math courses at middle and high school levels
- Foster a positive classroom atmosphere through effective classroom management and behavior support strategies
- Utilize educational technology tools to enhance learning experiences and accommodate various learning styles
- Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative evaluations, including standardized testing preparation
- Adapt instructional methods to meet the needs of students with diverse backgrounds, learning abilities, and special education requirements
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, instructional modifications, and school-wide initiatives
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and academic goals
- Mentor students in extracurricular activities such as sports coaching or club leadership to promote holistic development
- Incorporate creative writing, literacy education, and critical thinking exercises into lessons to enrich subject understanding
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, lesson plans, and student achievements in compliance with educational regulations
Requirements
- Proven teaching experience at middle school or high school levels in Spanish, Science, or Math disciplines
- Strong knowledge of relevant subjects including Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, Biology, Chemistry or Physics
- Experience developing curricula that incorporate educational technology and learning management systems
- Ability to adapt lessons for different learning styles and provide instructional modifications as needed
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues and parent engagement
- Demonstrated classroom management skills that foster respectful and productive learning environments
- Experience working with children from diverse cultural backgrounds and those with special education needs
- Knowledge of standardized testing procedures and educational compliance standards
- Skills in tutoring, public speaking, childhood development principles, and behavior management strategies are highly desirable
- Additional experience in physical education coaching or library services is a plus
