Overview
We are looking for a skilled, self-motivated Maintenance Technician to own a backlog of facility improvement projects critical to our SQF certification, lead small crews on those projects, and support day-to-day plant operations wherever needed. Responsibilities
Lead and execute facility capex projects:
- Coordinate small crews (2–5 people) on project work; manage materials, sequencing, and timelines
- Perform concrete patching, grinding, surface prep, and epoxy/paint coating application
- Support fabrication and installation of stainless-steel components per SQF food safety requirements
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot conveyor belts, motors, gearboxes, VFDs, and related equipment
- Support electrical compliance: conduit knockouts, E-stop installation, weatherproof covers, and panel work (OSHA)
- Maintain and repair exhaust fans and general plant equipment
- Respond to day-to-day maintenance needs across all production areas
- Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe work environment at all times
- Support production, sanitation, and other departments as needed
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on maintenance or facilities experience in food manufacturing, agriculture, or industrial settings
- Demonstrated experience with concrete work:
- Demonstrated experience with facility maintenance projects:
- Comfortable with conveyor systems, motors, VFDs, and mechanical drive components
- Basic to intermediate electrical knowledge (conduit, panel covers, E-stops, receptacles)
- Experience leading small project crews and managing materials independently
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred
- Able to work at heights (boom lift, roof work)
- Self-directed — can take a project scope, pull materials, and execute with minimal supervision
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Welding experience (stainless or carbon steel)
- SQF, GMP, or food safety facility experience
- Boom lift or forklift certification
Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
