Duties
- Prepare patients and medical records for appointments
- Perform administrative and clinical tasks to support healthcare professionals in a urology medical practice
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens for testing, including phlebotomy
- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as urinalysis and phlebotomy
- Administer medications as directed by physician
- Insurance prior authorizations for medication
- Assist patient questions and concerns over the phone and in person.
- Ensure compliance with medical laws, regulations, and protocols, including HIPAA and OSHA
Skills Required
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in medical terminology and documentation practices
- Proficient in medication administration and dosage calculations
- Strong patient service skills with the ability to provide compassionate care
- Familiarity with basic life support techniques
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
