Overview
Progressive Steps Therapy, LLC provides compassionate, high-quality therapy services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) through community-based programs. Our team is committed to improving independence, functional ability, and overall quality of life for the individuals we serve.
We are currently seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team on a PRN contract basis. The OT will be responsible for evaluating patients, developing individualized treatment plans, and providing skilled occupational therapy services to support individuals in achieving their functional goals. This is an ongoing PRN 1099 contract position, offering flexible scheduling.
Responsibilities
- Perform initial evaluations and ongoing assessments of patients
- Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans
- Provide skilled occupational therapy interventions focused on ADLs, functional skills, and independence
- Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) as applicable
- Document patient progress, evaluations, and treatment sessions accurately and in a timely manner
- Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members and caregivers
- Maintain compliance with all professional standards and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Current Texas Occupational Therapist (OT) license
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule
- Strong clinical, documentation, and communication skills
- Experience working with adult population with IDD preferred but not required
- Reliable transportation
