SUNY Schenectady County Community College is seeking a full-time High School Programs Grant and Data Manager. Reporting to the Director of College and High School Partnerships, the High School Programs Grant and Data Manager is a full-time, grant funded position, responsible for the administration of the New York State Department of Education (NYSED) Early College grant programs (ECHS), including fiscal oversight of multiple grant budgets. This role is responsible for tracking program activities to ensure alignment with state mandates related to enrollment and retention targets. In addition, this position supports student recruitment, outreach, and retention efforts.
Responsibilities:
Oversee data analysis, budgeting, and grant reporting for all College High School programs operating through the College and High School Partnership Office.
Lead budget planning, development, and assembly of grant and budget documents. Oversee the submission of complex financial proposals and ensure expenditure aligns with grant-funded parameters.
On behalf of the Director, serves as the lead point of contact for NYSED; ensure the timely and accurate submission of all annual reports, compliance documentation, and performance metrics.
Participate in statewide calls and convenings for grant program.
Foster a collaborative "culture of evidence" where staff use data to improve program outcomes and refine student interventions.
Responsible for ordering and keeping inventory of all supplies and textbooks for all grant programs.
Assist in coordinating on campus student transportation during the academic year and summer.
Maintains and updates student information files, including all Slate documents, applications, registrations, and other appropriate paperwork.
Understands and adheres to all programmatic policies.
Work closely with office staff to promote grant opportunities, assist with recruitment efforts, and support student onboarding once the initial enrollment process is completed.
Occasional evening and weekend hours required (e.g., Recruitment Events, Orientation, etc.).
Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or an associate's degree with at least two years' direct experience in grant management.
One year of relevant experience in grant support, budgeting, financial reporting, accounting support, or data analysis, which may include internships, graduate assistantships, or equivalent applied experience.
Strong communication and organizational skills, including attention to detail.
Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration or related field.
One year of demonstrated experience in grant financial management, data analysis, and budget oversight.
Familiarity with Higher Education software such as Banner, Slate, Degree Works, Argos, etc.
Familiarity with New York State Grants or grant writing.
