Position Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and professional Bartender to join our team at Mademoiselle Paris. The bartender will be responsible for creating exceptional guest experiences by preparing and serving craft cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages while ensuring a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere in our historic boutique hotel bar.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests promptly and warmly, providing friendly and attentive service.
- Prepare and serve a wide range of cocktails, beers, wines, and other beverages according to established recipes and guest preferences.
- Suggest and upsell specialty cocktails, wine pairings, and promotions.
- Maintain knowledge of the beverage menu, including seasonal cocktails, wine lists, and local offerings.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the bar, including glassware, tools, and equipment.
- Monitor guest consumption and comply with all alcohol service laws and safety guidelines.
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately; follow POS procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver a seamless guest experience across the bar and lounge areas.
- Assist with inventory management, including restocking and reporting low supplies.
- Support special events, private parties, and hotel functions when needed.
- Place the orders of alcohol with all our suppliers
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of bartending experience in a high-volume or craft cocktail environment.
- Knowledge of mixology, cocktail trends, beer, and wine.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced setting.
- Must be 21 years or older with legal authorization to serve alcohol in Florida.
- Food Handler and Responsible Vendor (SafeServe/Responsible Alcohol Service) certifications preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs (cases of bottles, kegs, etc.).
- Comfortable working nights, weekends, and holidays.
