We are looking for a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Pre-K Assistant Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The Assistant Teacher will work closely with the Lead Teacher to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for our Pre-K students.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Lead Teacher with daily lessons and age-appropriate activities.
- Supervise and support children throughout the school day.
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom.
- Support classroom routines, transitions, meals, and outdoor activities.
- Encourage children's social, emotional, and academic development.
- Prepare classroom materials and learning centers.
- Communicate professionally with families and staff.
- Attend required meetings, training, and professional development.
- Follow Georgia Pre-K and DECAL requirements and classroom policies.
Qualifications
Candidates should meet the credential requirements for a Georgia’s Pre-K Assistant Teacher position. Qualifying credentials may include a valid CDA, Georgia Paraprofessional Certificate, TCC/TCD in Early Childhood Education, associate or bachelor's degree, Montessori Diploma, or other DECAL-approved credential.
Candidates must also meet applicable background-check, training, and professional-development requirements.
