Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service to create a positive shopping experience
- Assist customers with product demos, answering questions about furniture and appliances to highlight features and benefits
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Upsell complementary products and accessories to maximize sales opportunities
- Maintain organized merchandising displays, stock shelves, and ensure products are presented attractively
- Conduct product demos to showcase appliance functionalities or furniture features effectively
- Handle phone inquiries professionally, providing information about products, promotions, or store hours
- Ensure accurate retail math calculations for pricing, discounts, and totals during checkout
Experience
- Previous retail sales or cashiering experience preferred, especially within grocery stores or home furnishings sectors
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team settings
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures is essential
- Strong communication skills in bilingual environments are highly valued to connect with diverse customers
- Ability to perform basic math quickly and accurately for transactions and inventory counts
- Knowledge of merchandising, stocking practices, and product demos enhances customer engagement
