Mobile Pet Groomer
Position Summary
Barkers and Bows is seeking a dedicated and experienced Mobile Pet Groomer to join our growing team. In this role, you will provide professional grooming services in a fully equipped mobile grooming van while delivering convenience and exceptional care directly to clients and their pets.
We are looking for someone who enjoys working independently, has a passion for animal care, and takes pride in delivering high-quality grooming services with patience and attention to detail. Key Responsibilities
- Perform complete grooming services including bathing, drying, brushing, de-shedding treatments, haircuts, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and teeth brushing based on each pet's individual needs and client preferences.
- Safely handle pets of various breeds, sizes, temperaments, and grooming requirements while maintaining a calm and comfortable environment.
- Conduct consultations with pet owners to review grooming requests, style preferences, and any special care instructions.
- Observe pets throughout appointments and communicate any visible concerns such as skin conditions, coat issues, parasites, injuries, or behavioral changes.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards within the mobile grooming van, equipment, tools, and work areas.
- Follow all company safety guidelines and proper pet-handling procedures.
- Deliver outstanding customer service by building positive relationships with clients and providing coat care and maintenance recommendations.
- Maintain accurate grooming records, client notes, and pet preferences for future appointments.
- Ensure the mobile grooming vehicle remains organized, stocked, and prepared for daily operations.
- Work efficiently while managing appointment schedules and maintaining service quality.
Qualifications
- Previous professional pet grooming experience with the ability to perform both breed-standard and customized grooming styles.
- Strong knowledge of dog behavior, grooming techniques, and safe handling practices.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Comfortable working independently and managing a mobile grooming schedule.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to identify and communicate potential health or behavioral concerns.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Reliable, professional, and committed to maintaining exceptional grooming standards.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift or assist pets weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Prior mobile grooming experience is preferred but not required.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus but not required.
Pay: $1,200.00 - $1,700.00 per week
