Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Industrial Marine Canvas & Upholstery Sewer to join our dynamic manufacturing team. Duties
- Operate various sewing machines to assemble marine canvas and upholstery components with accuracy and efficiency
- Cut fabric, vinyl, and other materials according to detailed patterns and specifications
- Sew seams, hems, zippers, and other finishing details to produce high-quality marine covers, enclosures, and upholstery pieces
- Inspect finished products for quality assurance, ensuring all stitching is secure and meets design standards
- Collaborate with team members to interpret project specifications and troubleshoot sewing or material issues
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation to promote safety and productivity in the manufacturing environment
- Assist in inventory management by tracking materials used and notifying supervisors of supply needs
Qualifications
- Proven experience in industrial sewing, preferably within a manufacturing setting
- Proficiency with sewing machines, including troubleshooting basic mechanical issues
- Strong knowledge of sewing techniques such as stitching, hemming, zippers, and reinforcement methods
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes related to textiles or upholstery work
- Ability to read patterns, technical drawings, or specifications accurately
- Excellent attention to detail combined with a commitment to quality craftsmanship
